Hello, I’m Tarnya, and I proudly lead the TC Publishing team. My path to founding TC Publishing was a journey of transformation and empowerment, and I’m excited to share our story with you.
After 15 years of success as a lecturer in Health and Social Care, I found myself overworked, overwhelmed, and underpaid. Despite my career’s achievements, I yearned for something more. In 2018, I took a bold step to regain control of my life and pursue my true purpose. I penned my best-selling book ‘Open Doors’ in just six weeks, handed in my resignation, and embarked on a new adventure as a personal development coach.
The frustrations and challenges my clients shared deeply resonated with me, as I had experienced similar moments in my journey. I understood the feeling of being occupied yet unsatisfied, the struggle with shattered confidence, and the weight of external expectations. Born to a teenage single mother, I knew what it was like to have doubters anticipating my downfall.
With my clients, we embarked on the rewarding journey of reshaping mindsets, refining aspirations, and breaking down barriers. I provided practical tools to help them realise their objectives, whether that meant launching a business or navigating life’s next steps.
No matter where my clients were on their paths, I provided unwavering support to ensure lasting progress. Think of me as a steadfast cheerleader, encouraging them as they courageously faced life’s challenges.
I had the privilege of being mentored by the globally acclaimed coach and motivational speaker, Les Brown. Coaching became the bridge that turned dreams into reality.
Beyond coaching, my interests include reading, leisurely walks, and the occasional game of scrabble. My favourite word, “floccinaucinihilipilification,” is quite the linguistic delight – feel free to look it up on Google!
My literary journey resulted in self-publishing four books, including my bestseller, “Plan it. See it. Anticipate it,” endorsed by Les Brown. Delving deeper into writing, I saw the challenges authors faced. Drawing on my coaching background, I founded TC Publishing to empower authors, particularly coaches and personal narrative writers. Our mission is clear: empowering voices and stories.
